The client wanted to create a master bedroom within the loft. The ceilings on the first floor had to be lowered in this property to achieve the required headroom. We didn't lower the ceilings at the front of the property, but instead, introduced a platform within the loft - giving the room a contemporary feel. This also created an additional workspace to house a computer station.
We built a flat roof dormer, finished in a natural Welsh slate so that it matched in well with the existing slate roof.

But they came up with some brilliant design ideas, and I now have a proper office as well as a new bedroom – it really works for us. And it looks great from the outside too!”
