average cost of a loft conversion typically ranges from £20,000 to
£60,000, excluding the local authority inspection fee, sanitary
ware, specialist floor finishes, ceramic tiles and decorating.
- The feasibility study is free of
charge.
- Payment terms are as follows: initial
deposit of £2,000, with no further payments until work begins,
after which time payment is made in equal weekly sums.
- Between 3% and 5% of the contract
price is retained until you are satisfied with the completed project.
How Long Does
it Take?
- There is a lead time of four weeks
while drawings are prepared for submission, followed by up to
eight weeks to obtain local authority consents, although our lead
time is generally three to five months.
- Converting the loft usually takes
between four and eight weeks.
What Guarantees
Do You Offer?
The
Loft Conversion Company offers five years with an insurance-backed
option from Lloyds of London extending the period to 10 years,
costing 3% of the contract price.

Will We Have
to Move Out?
- No, there is no need as, in most
instances, the bulk of the work is done through the roof.
- We try to cause as little disruption
to your home life as is possible, although the day the staircase
is fitted is definitely the day to go out!
